Michael Bott, Engineer
Michael started out as a research chemist for Rank Hovis McDougall. He re-educated as a mature student graduating in Mechanical Engineering and went to work for Marconi Space & Defence Systems as an engineer on microwave filters for European Space Agency satellites. A career U turn in 1980 saw him start a highly successful property development business. Following the success of this Mike started Cablewise 10 years later. Mike still owns the property business but it is managed by others allowing him the time to dedicate his time and energy to Cablewise.
Outside of work: Loves sport- still plays odd game of cricket, loves live music and is learning to play trumpet. Loves travelling. |

Dean Locke, Engineer
Dean attended music college after school and qualified in classical guitar. He taught music, mainly guitar, for several years and then joined Cablewise 10 years ago. Dean has astounding technical aptitude and is responsible mainly for the non-routine work, multi-level auto-attendants, virtual private networks and home workers. Dean is highly motivated and takes exceptional pride in his work.
Outside of work: Motorcycles, music, part time DJ, camping |

Rod Lloyd, Engineer
Rod was a fully trained apprentice with GPO (became BT) working on Strowger telephone exchanges. In 1984 Rod retrained as a carpenter/joiner and became self employed. Rod met Michael Bott working on the conversion of Brill Police Station and Magistrates Court where the Great Train Robbers were originally kept. Mick eventually persuaded Rod to join him and has been with the company 13 years. Rod has unnatural energy and optimism - a fantastic quality when you are up against it.
Outside of work: has diverse range of interests and activity including Horticulture, Tai Chi, homeopathy, live music festivals.

Andrew Buckingham, Engineer
Andrew is a Graduate of Bachelor of Sport Coaching from Unitec Auckland, he was invited over from his native New Zealand to play cricket for Kidlington. Local businesses were soon clamouring after his services outside of cricket and has now been with Cablewise 3 years. Andrew is a tremendous asset and has fantastic enthusiasm and is totally unflappable.
Outside of work: Cricket- minor counties standard no. 3 bat, plays Rugby, kids cricket coach, plays in rock band |
